Ingredients

Nine actives. Per 2 capsules:

  • Benfotiamine — 200 mg
  • Thiamine (as thiamine HCl) — 25 mg
  • Riboflavin (as riboflavin-5-phosphate) — 10 mg
  • Magnesium (as magnesium bisglycinate) — 60 mg
  • Citicoline — 250 mg
  • Pantothenic acid (B5) — 100 mg
  • Acetyl-L-carnitine — 300 mg
  • L-theanine — 150 mg
  • Saffron (standardised stigma extract) — 30 mg

Other ingredients: a vegan HPMC capsule, and nothing else. No microcrystalline cellulose, no magnesium stearate, no silicon dioxide.

How to take it

We recommend starting with one capsule a day for the first five days, then moving up to the standard daily dose of two. The gentler start gives your nervous system time to adjust.

  • Best taken with a meal earlier in the day.
  • If you would rather not swallow them, open the capsule and stir the powder into food or any drink.
  • Keep it where you eat, so it isn't a decision.
  • Give it a full 90-day cycle before judging it.

Where you notice it

Not in a lab. In an ordinary Tuesday.

The work is over. You'd like your body to feel like it is too.

Three different moments. One nerve running all of them.

Why nutrition

One nerve. Nine places you feel it.

Its name means wandering. The vagus nerve runs from the base of the brain to nearly every system that decides whether your body stays switched on, or stands down. Read the full guide to the vagus nerve →

The formula

One nervous system. Three layers of support.

Per 2 capsules30 servingsVegan capsule
01

Nerve

Nutrients selected around normal nervous-system function and neuronal energy.

Benfotiamine200 MG
The fat-soluble form of B1, developed in Japan after chemists found thiamine hiding in garlic. Selected around thiamine-dependent energy metabolism in nerve cells.
Thiamineas thiamine HCl25 MG
Vitamin B1, the first vitamin ever isolated. The standard water-soluble form, working alongside the fat-soluble one.
Riboflavinas riboflavin-5-phosphate10 MG
Vitamin B2, from the Latin flavus, “yellow”. The 5-phosphate form, already activated, selected around energy metabolism in nerve tissue.
Magnesiumas magnesium bisglycinate60 MG
Bound to glycine, the smallest amino acid there is. Chelated for tolerability and selected around normal nervous-system function.
02

Signal

Built around the nutritional biology involved in acetylcholine signalling.

CiticolineCDP-choline250 MG
The intermediate every cell membrane is built through. Included at 250 mg, the amount used in human research, and selected around the choline side of the signal.
Acetyl-L-carnitine300 MG
Named from the Latin carnis, “flesh”, after chemists first drew it out of muscle in 1905. It carries acetyl groups itself.
Pantothenic acidvitamin B5100 MG
From the Greek pantothen, “from everywhere”. The precursor to coenzyme A, and the acetyl half of that same signal.
03

State

Human-studied bioactives selected around calm, the stress response and resilience.

L-theanine150 MG
Isolated from green tea in 1949, and the reason a cup of tea feels nothing like a cup of coffee. Selected to support a settled state without sedation.
Saffronstandardised stigma extract30 MG
Three stigmas per flower, picked by hand: the most expensive spice by weight in the world. Included at the 30 mg used in human research on mood and stress resilience.

Nothing else

Most capsules carry three passengers. Ours carries none.

Turn most supplement bottles round and you'll find the same three names under “other ingredients”. None of them is there for you. They're there for the factory: to pad a capsule out to size, and to keep powder running through the machine.

Filler

Microcrystalline cellulose

Refined wood pulp, used to bulk a capsule out. It does nothing for your nervous system, so it isn't in ours.

Flow agent

Magnesium stearate

A lubricant that stops powder sticking to machinery. In lab tests it can slow how quickly a capsule's contents dissolve. Not the magnesium in our formula: that's bisglycinate.

Anti-caking agent

Silicon dioxide

Nano-sized silica that keeps powder free-running. A 2024 mouse study found daily exposure lowered the gut's tolerance to food proteins.

That research is early, and all three are still permitted in supplements. Our rule is simpler: if it isn't there for you, it isn't in the capsule.

No caffeine, melatonin or sedatives. Vegan HPMC capsule. Third-party tested, every batch · GMP manufactured
Where it fits

Most approaches cover one layer. Vagus One covers three.

You may already use some of these. They can all be useful. Here's what each one is actually built to reach.

The 90-day routine

Ninety days. One simple routine.

Nervous-system nutrition is a daily practice, not a quick fix. Vagus One is designed to be taken every day, which is why the most complete way to begin is 90 days, backed by our 90-day promise. Here's how it tends to unfold, drawn from what 748 customers told us.

Days 1–5 1 capsule with a meal From day 6 2 capsules, same meal Tip Open one into food or a drink
  1. Weeks 1–2

    Laying the foundation.

You're supplying raw materials, not taking a sedative. The only job is not missing days.

  2. Weeks 3–4

    The evening goes first.

Where people notice something, it tends to show up at night. 64% of those who noticed a change did so within four weeks.

“I have been taking it for nearly a month and I can feel the difference… less bloating.”Sally S. · Verified buyer
  3. Month 2

    It stops being a decision.

The capsules are part of a meal, not a task. What changes tends to arrive as a new baseline, not an event.

“After 6 weeks I am much more settled and don’t have the gut issues.”Jane J. · Verified buyer, Vagus+
  4. Month 3

    A settled routine.

A pattern that took years to set doesn't shift in three weeks. Ninety days gives a daily routine time to become your baseline, and it's covered by our 90-day promise.

“It took a few months, but I’d had it for years.”Mary Haley · Verified buyer

It's for you if…

  • You get to the end of the day and still can't come down.
  • Your digestion tracks your stress a little too closely.
  • You sleep the hours but don't wake up restored.
  • You already breathe, plunge or hum, and want the other half of it.

It's not for you if…

  • You want something that knocks you out. No melatonin, no sedatives.
  • You want to feel it by Friday. This is cumulative.
  • You expect it to fix a diagnosed condition. It's food, not treatment.
  • You're pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18 or on prescription medication. Ask your doctor first.

A note from our co-founder

“What if these aren’t separate problems?”

I worked as a doctor in the NHS. Medicine is brilliant at diagnosing and treating disease, but we often treat the symptom in front of us. Bloating? Something for the gut. Can’t sleep? Something for sleep.

I kept seeing the same pattern: digestion that changed with stress, sleep that fell apart when people couldn’t unwind. That question led me to the nervous system and the vagus nerve, where almost everything people were doing was stimulation, and hardly anyone talked about what the nerve runs on.

I still tell people to see their GP, especially if something’s new or getting worse. I just don’t think the conversation should stop at the symptom. That’s why we built Yona.

Does Vagus One stimulate the vagus nerve?

No. Breathwork, cold and devices stimulate it: they ask it to fire. Vagus One is nutrition. It supplies nutrients and bioactives selected around the biology the nerve runs on. Stimulation is one layer; nutrition is another, and we'd rather you did both. Compare the 11 stimulation methods.

What's the science behind Vagus One?

Over a century of nervous-system science, curated into one formula. Every ingredient was chosen from peer-reviewed research, more than 40 studies in all, and each has a defined role across Nerve, Signal and State. Explore the science.

Who is it designed for?

People who recognise the feeling: “My body struggles to switch off.” Tired but still on, stress-reactive digestion, restless evenings, sleep that doesn't restore. A body that's very good at switching on, and struggles to switch back. Read the signs of low vagal tone.

Why not just take magnesium?

Magnesium is in it: 60 mg, as bisglycinate. But it's one of nine. Vagus One pairs it with the B-vitamin, choline and calm-state layers, rather than relying on one ingredient alone. If magnesium on its own already helps you, that's a reason to expect more here, not less.

Why are there no fillers or flow agents in it?

Most capsules carry microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide: a filler, a lubricant and an anti-caking agent. They make manufacturing faster. They do nothing for you, and early research has started asking questions about them, silicon dioxide and the gut in particular. Vagus One has none of the three: nine actives in a vegan capsule, and nothing else.

Will it make me sleepy or wired?

Neither. There's no melatonin, valerian or caffeine. It's a daily foundation, not something that knocks you out or gives you a buzz. The State layer, L-theanine and saffron, is there so it never feels like a stimulating nootropic.

How quickly will I notice something?

Most people who notice something do so within the first three to four weeks, usually in the evening first. Some people notice nothing, and we'd rather say that here. Give it the full 90 days; the promise covers you if nothing changes.

What if I'm sensitive to supplements?

Take it gradually: one capsule a day for the first five days, then two when you're ready. You can also open a capsule into food or a drink. If you're unsure at any point, message us.

Can I take it alongside medication?

Ask your doctor or pharmacist first, particularly if you take prescribed medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an existing condition. Take the bottle: it lists every active and exactly how much. Never stop or reduce prescribed medication because you've started a supplement.

How does the subscription work?

The 30-day arrives monthly, the 90-day every three months. It's cheaper because a predictable order costs us less to fulfil. There's no minimum term: pause, skip or cancel from your account, without emailing anyone.

How long does delivery take?

Dispatched from the UK with Royal Mail or InPost, usually within 2–3 days, with expedited shipping available at checkout.
